BPC-157 (also known as PL 14736) is a pentadecapeptide.

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound – 157) is a synthetic peptide, derived from a protective protein found in the stomach. Considered a stable gastric pentadecapeptide, it also goes by the names Bepecin, PL-10, and PL 14736.

The arrangement of the amino acids is important. Just as different combinations of letters make different words, different combinations of amino acids make different substances.

It has the amino acid sequence Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val. This peptide is a sequence of 98 hydrogen, 62 carbon, 22 oxygen, and 16 nitrogen atoms (molecular formula is C62-H98-N16-O22).

Numerous studies and lab research experiments conducted on rodents have shown that BPC-157 can have a variety of therapeutic and physical effects.

BPC-157 works by triggering the formation of new blood vessels, a process that is called angiogenesis. Such activity promotes healing and induces faster regeneration of cells. It also works by blocking or preventing the growth-inhibiting effects of a molecule named 4-hydroxynonenal.

BPC 157 increased the expression of growth hormone receptor in tendon fibroblasts of Sprague-Dawley rats. Tendon fibroblasts at 50%–60% confluency were treated with BPC 157 at concentrations of 0, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5 μg/mL for 24 h (A and C) or 0.5 μg/mL for one to three days (B and D). The mRNA (A and B) and protein (C and D) expressions of growth hormone receptor were measured by RT/real-time PCR and Western blot analysis, respectively. Experiments were done in triplicate.

Growth hormone activated more JAK2 proteins in BPC 157-treated tendon fibroblasts of Sprague-Dawley rats. Tendon fibroblasts at 50%–60% confluency were pretreated with BPC 157 at concentration of 0.5 μg/mL for one to three days. After BPC 157 pretreatment, 0.1 μg/mL growth hormone was added for another 24 h and then total JAK2 (which was not shown) and activation of JAK2 which was determined by the level of phosphorylated JAK2 were detected by Western blot analysis (A). Peptides Prefer the Cold

Keep peptide vials refrigerated at all times to reduce peptide bond breakdown. DO NOT FREEZE. Most peptides, especially shorter ones, can be preserved for weeks if careful.

Always swab the top of the vial with an alcohol wipe, rubbing alcohol or 95% ethanol before use.

Before drawing solution from any dissolved peptide vial, fill the pin with air to the same measurement you will be filling with solution, ie. if you plan to take 0.1 ml, first fill the pin with 0.1ml of air, push the air into the vial, and then draw the peptide back up to the 0.1 ml marker. Doing so will maintain even pressure in the vial. Always remember to remove air bubbles from the pin by flicking it gently, needle side up, and pushing bubbles out. In addition, push out a tiny amount of solution to ensure there is no air left in the metal tip.

 

Only Mix With Sterile Bacteriostatic Water

The purity and sterility of bacteriostatic water are essential to prevent contamination and to preserve the shelf-life of dissolved peptides.

Push the pin through the rubber stopper at a slight angle, so that you inject the bacteriostatic water toward the inside wall of the vial, not directly onto the powder.

Lyophilized peptide should be stored at -20°C (freezer), and the reconstituted peptide solution at 4°C (refrigerated). Do not freeze once reconstituted.
